Other Charitable Giving

Len supports local organizations across the globe that care for the underprivileged and underserved in their communities. 

Blavatnik Family Foundation Wellness Center at Ronald McDonald House New York 

In January 2015, the Foundation committed $1 million over five years to create the Blavatnik Family Foundation Wellness Center, an integrated wellness program for caregivers that includes treatments at the house, hospitals and local spas. Funds also support the program’s growth and the construction of a new wellness program at the RMH building. 

Colel Chabad

Colel Chabad is the oldest operating charitable organization in Israel providing life preserving assistance to people regardless of gender, age, marital status, ethnicity or religion

Colel Chabad’s Blavatnik Absorption Center in central Jerusalem helps Russian speaking immigrants to integrate successfully into their new lives The program offers job counsellinglanguage support, an evening school and access to a library.  

Colel Chabad’s Larisa Blavatnik Network of daycare centers, meanwhile, provides day care services for children in low-income households.  

Through the Foundation, Len has also provided funding for the construction of day care centers in Afula, CarmielDimonaKiryat Bialik, Lod, Sderot, Yavna and Yokneam. 

Middlebury

Len helped create the School of Hebrew at Middlebury with a $2 million donation made through the Foundation in 2014. The School’s mission is to develop a pipeline of highly competent teachers and practitioners of Hebrew at all levels of teaching. 

In 2010, Len established the Blavatnik Family Fund for Russian and Israeli Studies at Middlebury, providing scholarship money to students in those fields. 

Fresh Air Fund

Len has supported the Fresh Air Fund, a non-profit agency providing free summer holidays in the United States to children from low-income New York City communities. 

Since 2014, the Foundation, together with Warner Music Group, has provided the Fresh Air Fund with $850,000 to support the construction and operation of a new music centre and for general camper programs.
